Hello Bees! I have a weirdish situation addressing invites and could use some help!
FI’s family has been really awkward to address invites for. In one address, I am sending 3 different invites. One for his grandparents, one for one of his cousins who has her own family, and one to his aunt and two more cousins. For the last one, how would I address it? I do not want to put to “The Soandso Family” because there are others with the same last name getting their own invite. Would it be proper to list 3 names on an outer envelope, even if they all have the same last name? I am not using inner envelopes, so this is the only chance I get to address who it is for.
Gah, addressing all of these invites by hand has got me going INSANE!
Thanks for your help!

I would write each first and last name as a list then put the address

If the cousins are children, I usually only put the adults name, so I woud address it as [Aunt’s first name] [Aunt’s last name] then when it’s opened, it would have all 3 people’s names

@echopkb: I agree with this. I didn’t have inner envelopes either, and this is how I handled it.

If it’s parents and their child, you can do:
Mr. & Mrs. Lastname
Basically, adult couple’s name on first line, children’s names on next line.

Oops, just saw that it’s one aunt and two cousins. I’d still do:
Ms. Auntname Lastname
Mr./Ms. Cousinname Lastname and Mr./Ms. Cousinname Lastname

Clarification-It is his aunt and two of her kids, who are 18 and 15. I am thinking I should just list the 3 names out, but that seems like too much to put on an envelope
Mrs Aunt SoandSo

Given that the kids are still children, you can certainly put the two of them on one line combined with an “and.”

I just went through this with mine. Here’s what I did, and I printed labels 🙂
Cousin & Cousin Soandso
Or you can list Cousin Soandso & Cousin Soandso.
So complicated….I just said “screw it!” and typed mine out to be done with it…LOL!
