Why can’t you do that?  Who says?  I’ll be in the same boat when I have to address mine.  And will more than likely have to address it:

Jane Doe and Guest

123 Main Street

 

 

THis way at least she knows she allowed to bring a guest.  Otherwise it will be too confusing.

I’m glad you posted this because I didn’t even think about it.  BUt no, I don’t think the post office will have an issue.  As long as the person’s name who lives there is on it, I think you’ll be fine.

Have you looked for any examples online anywhere?

I would say “and guest.” I’ve received invites like that “Miss Gemstone and guest” and I did not take offense. Just make sure to get the guests’ names after rsvps if you are doing a seating chart!
