i’m confused about addressing our Save-The-Date Cards. Is it okay to put “the smith family” bc they are a little more informal than the actual invitation. My only concern about doing this is what about some families where not everyone, but most people are invited? i’m worried that by the time the actual invitations come around some peopel will be assuming they were invited based on the “family” save the dates.

@sharky: only address them to those who are invited. if not everyone in the family is invited don’t put “the smith family”, put “Mr. and Mrs. Smith”. that way they know that they are the only 2 invited.

I addressed mine informally.
For my cousin, her husband and their 2 kids (one is 2 one is actually not born yet, but will be in September)
I simply wrote ‘Michelle and Derrick’….. because children are not invited.
For families with children over 16.. (for example) I wrote ‘Wilson Family’

@sharky: I only wrote “the smith family” if everyone in the family is invited. Otherwise, just put Mr & Mrs or their names

Try to be specific if possible. You can always extend invitations to the whole family later on!
