So, it’s getting close to the time I want to start sending my Save the Dates and I’m not sure exactly how to address them. I know Save the Dates tend to be a bit more casual than invitations, and my wedding will not be a super formal event anyway.
My initial thought was to address the ones to our friends and cousins (20’s & 30’s) as
John & Jane Smith
Mr. & Mrs. John Smith
for our older relatives. My fiance made a face and said they should all be the same, but wouldn’t give me any other input. What do you think, bees? How did you do yours?

i did first names for mine – i saved the Mr. and Mrs. for the invitations.

I just sent mine out (as in this morning, yay!) and i did exactly what you want to do. i addressed our older guests as Mr. & Mrs. John Smith but i felt super weird about addressing the majority of people that way. No one is going to compare so i don’t think it matters if they are all the same.

@totheislnds: I think I’ll do the same.

Thanks, ladies. So it’s looking like go with my original plan or skip the Mr. & Mrs. altogether until I send the invites. Very helpful, as always! 🙂

I used first names for the Save-The-Date Cards and will use Mr. & Mrs. for the invites 🙂
