I think labels should be fine, most people aren’t going to notice the envelope anyway.  Have you thought about wrap-around labels?  I did those for my save the dates and they turned out really well.

@Krispy1327: how are you trying to print on the envelopes?  Easiest way is to create a custom envelope size in MS Word and then mail merge your address recipients.  If you use a script/elegant/fancy font, no one is going to care. 

Actually for our STD, we did address labels.  We printed the invitations with the above method.  I think the “handwriting” rule only applies to the actual invitation, not the STD.

I would agree with zaylee. I think address labels for the STD are fine- it’s the actual invitations that you’d have to worry about more… I have heard that the wrap around address labels look nicer than a standard address label. It might be good to look into this..
