We just addressed it to the person with no guest.  They’ll get their guest on the invitation.  We also did the Save-The-Date Cards very casual; no Mr. or Mrs….just their first and last names.

i only addressed them with the date’s name if i knew them and if they’ve been in a relationship for a while.  otherwise it was just addressed to the person i knew.  the stds were sent out almost a year in advanced so those friends without SO were not too worried about their potential “date” getting invited.

I’m not adding unknown people to our save the dates either, just the person I know=)

We only put “and guest” on the invitations, not on the Save-The-Date Cards.

Invitations are sent out in advance of the wedding, so your single guests will definitely have enough time to find a date if desired before RSVPing.

@Stammie16: Hey, no problem. That’s what makes WB such an awesome place.

STD’s are just for people who you cannot imagine getting married without their presence.  So there is no need to address them to a guest, since presumably you don’t care if “Guest” is there or not.
