@hiroshymatetrastar:  Yay! STD’s! I’m sending mine out today! Our wedding will be somewhat informal so not sure if this would apply to your event as well, but we just addressed them like we would any other mail. Most don’t have last names b/c they’re friends or family, and the ones that do I left out the whole Mr. & Mrs. & just did FirstName & FirstName LastName. For unmarried couples living together (surprisngly we didn’t have too many of these) we just put our main friend first (the one we want there if we had to choose out of the 2) followed by the SO, however for people not living together we just left out the SO on the envelope (it’s not an invitation so I feel like it’s okay to be more casual, they’ll know their SO is invited when they get the invitation).

For the couple soon to married I would have some fun with it & address it to “Soon to be” FirstName & FirstName LastName… I’m sure others will disagree with my casual-nes though….

@BeckyS0:  Becky, I had to send you a quick message since I haven’t seen anyone else who is in Humboldt.  I’m getting married in Ferndale. 😉

@hiroshymatetrastar:  I am so glad you posted this. I’ve been trying to figure out how to explain it so I could ask the same question. Our situation is exactly the same down to the couples being unmarried for Save-The-Date Cards but married for formal invites. So, obviously, no help from me but thankyou very much!
