Each child gets his.her own line, ordered by age..

So, you would write:

  • Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
  • Miss Alison Smith
  • Mr. (or Master) Thomas Smith
  • 123 Circle Drive
  • OurFairCity, State 00000

@Sparkle Pony:  You’re welcome. For some reason, I love this stuff.

PS, if there are more than 2 kids of the same gender and you need to save lines, you can do:

  • Mr. and Mrs. John Smith
  • The Misses Smith
  • The Masters Smith
  • etc

It’s not correct etiquette to address them the way that you have.  You should either write Mr. and Mrs. John Doe or Jane and John Doe.  The reasoning is because you never separate a man’s name from his last name.  If they have children, they should be listed on a separate line.

@Sparkle Pony:  i never knew that bit of etiqutte either! but i wouldnt follow it even if i did since it seems pretty antiquated! i am sure your guests will be happy to be invited even if a few dudes have their first name and surname separated!
