Okay so early on in the invitation planning I decided to forget the handwriting addresses and embossing the envelopes. I mean do people actually notice these things? I know I don’t! I just recently received an invitation in the mail for a wedding and they hand wrote all the addresses. It looked awful and sloppy! I ordered my return labels to match the invitations a little bit but I printed the labels with the guests’ name and addresses on plain white labels (my envelopes are black)
I also didn’t do envelope liners, I thought about it but figured it was ONE more thing to drag out the whole process and I just wanna be done with them.
Anyway anyone else go the label route?
Here’s a picture of our invitation!

After much deliberation I ended up printing the addresses from the computer. My hand writing was just plain ridiculous. It looked WAY better that way!

I really wanted to print them on the envelopes but since mine were black I didn’t think it’d be a great idea. Oh well I just figure people won’t notice and if they do they won’t care!

I’m planning on printing them from the computer with the script font I’m using throughout our other stationery. If I knew calligraphy, I would hand-write them, but generally I don’t like the way handwriting looks on a formal invite.

I am using clear address and return labels that i will be printing off the computer for the addresses…i have awful handwriting and Fiance has even worse! i don’t really care what they think of using the labels, because at least they will look legible!

The return addresses are printed labels I got them free from vistaprint with a coupon. If I hadnt gotten them free i woud have hand written them. I will be addressing the envelops by hand, I bought a calligraphy set from the bookstore some months ago and I’ve been practicising so I’m ready for this!! I am doing liners using gold wrapping paper because its amazing how that tiny piece of paper inside the envelope makes it look and feel so great!
