I’ve tried two different adhesives (permanent tape runner and hot glue) to adhere card stock to ribbon — to form a belly belt — and neither has worked! Please help! I’m getting really frustrated … and time is running out. I need to mail my invitations before the end of the month. Thanks, in advance, for your advice!

In the picture it looks like the ribbon is actually sandwiched in between the two pieces of cardstock. Have you been doing it that way? I would assume that attaching the two pieces of cardstock ontop of the ribon would be too heavy and cause problems. Is that how you’ve been doing it? Even just using doublestick tape should work if you use the sandwich method. Hope that helps!

The ribbon is between the two pieces of cardstock. Doublestick tape didn’t hold it together, though.

Try "Zots". They have them at Michaels and Joann’s. They’re little glue dots. I’m using them to attach decorative ribbon bows to my invitations. Good luck!!

I make invitations professionally and use the Tombo adhesive in permanent for things like this without issue.

i used double sided tape for mines and it worked fine. for yours, i would put the tape perpendicular to the ribbon, so it crosses it like a ‘T’. i would also put at least one tape on each side of the ribbon so it will stick to both pieces of paper.
