    I had to webmd it to see what it is…

    I wouldn’t take this, personally.  I feel like, for me, the only way to achieve and maintain a healthy weight is to live a healthy lifestyle.  I want something sustainable that will result in me being fit and healthy.  Skinny =/= healthy, to me.  I don’t care as much about the number on the scale or the number on the tag of my jeans as I do the numbers regarding my blood pressure and cholesterol.

    @DaneLady: This.

    Unless you have a thyroid condition, I don’t believe in a magic fix with pills, shots, etc. It won’t teach you healthy habits, which is what you really need to maintain any weight loss and improve your health. Eat clean and exercise. Those are the ways to go.

    i used it and it worked. Get ready for insomnia, increase in body temperature. If you start to get cold hands and feet but the rest of your body gets hot, STOP TAKING IT IMMEDIATELY!!

    yes i use it (still do) ive lost 50 lbs on it in 3months. i never had a temp issue, just dry mouth and some insomnia. but i take ambien so thats no longer an issue. the energy boost is the best part of this pill, i feel like i can run marathons after.

    people claim a magic pill isnt going to teach you to be healthy etc etc but i disagree. that curb in appetite makes it easier for me to pick better food options and exercise more.

    you cant take the pill and sit on the couch all day, you do have to be proactive and change your habits while on it as well. the pill just makes it a little easier for you to do that.

    Too many of these drugs are later found to have risks of permanent, serious heart damage. I’d love to be a little slimmer, but this just wouldn’t be worth it to me.

    I have taken it in the past and so have several of my friends. I wouldn’t take it, personally, because once I stopped I had zero energy. I had gotten used to the “upper” part of it and felt like I couldn’t get going without it. And I also think it can mess up your metabolism. Any drug that makes you not want to eat scares me a little. Your body compensates and once you stop taking it, the weight goes back on very quickly.

    @SquidWeds:  I agree. I work in Healthcare. A friend of mine was taking 3 at a time and had to have a heart valve replacement,. I stopped taking them. And plus its an amphetamine, so you have to be careful bc its addictive

    @CodijoC:  I was going to take this a couple of years ago, but my doctor said I had to get my blood pressure down. It never got to where she wanted it and I gave up and decided to do it on my own. Now I am glad I didn’t take it because I spoke with someone who did who is in their early 30s and now with heart problems because of Adipex. She told me I was very lucky I never got on the pills.
