We have a corgi! Had him since he was a teeny tiny 8 week old puppy and he’s now two going to be three in June. I’m on my iPad now so I can’t share pictures but I will come back and post some when I get on my desktop. He’s a wonderful dog, sweet, loving, cuddly, and he can be very smart when he feels like it. I’ve interacted with several corgis and they have all had those characteristics. The only issue is that he can be too friendly and will go right up to strangers, but his sister is not so trusting (blue heeler) and keeps him in check.

I am jealous!  We wanted a corgi, but fell in love with our mutt rescue pup instead.  One day in the future we will get one though πŸ™‚

Prepare yourself though – we’d both had dog before and not puppies, and there is a HUGE difference.  Puppies are way more work, but they are worth it πŸ™‚  Get lots of different toys for the pup so they always have something appropriate to chew.

I can’t see the pic (but I want to), so could you repost?  yay corgi pups!

I have one too! We got our little Tilly at 7 weeks and now she’s about 4.5 years old. I agree with the PP who says that they are affectionate, smart, loving little dogs, but they are also vocal and stubborn so be prepared for that as well πŸ™‚ I can’t see your pic so I can’t coo over the little puppies, but Corgi pups are adorable!

Here’s Tilly right after we got her:

And here she is all grown up!

I don’t have one, but someday! I absolutely love them. All my friends that have gotten them have never gotten another breed of dog – they all stuck with corgis! When I’m in a bad or sad mood I google or Pinterest pics of corgi puppies πŸ™‚

@penguinbee:  Awwww cute!!! I love when they are super young like that because their little ears are still all droopy πŸ™‚ Once they get a few weeks older their ears start to stick straight up and then they stay that way forever!

Found another cute one of the Till-meister as a pup πŸ™‚ You can tell how small she was because she’s resting her little head in my hand. See what I mean about the ears?

@sarahbabs:  Don’t let her looks deceive you…she’s a bull-headed little trouble-maker, but we love her πŸ™‚

My mom has a corgi mix and she is wonderful. I’ll second what other posters have said about them being smart, loving dogs, but they are also pretty stubborn and vocal. They are so worth it though!

I don’t but my Brother and SIL do.  Mojo just turned one on Sunday.  SIL travels a fair amount for work and my brother coaches after school so we get to watch the little guy a fair bit.  He is great.  I am super jealous.  A dog is next on the list for us!  Enjoy!

i have a corgi mix and she’s awesome. she’s really smart (easy to train) but so stubborn too. she knows her route for her walk and if you try to go a different way, she will stop dead in her tracks and not move until you go the right way. i got her when she was 5 and i’ve been able to train her to sit, stay, lay down and leave it (the leave it command is impressive since she’s a food whore). she’ll sit/stay at the kitchen door when we’re cooking because we don’t want her in the way.
