I thought this would be a nice heart warming thread to occupy me during my first TWW. (I always said the 2 weeks of Driver Safety Class was the longest two weeks of my life. I changed my mind!)
Here are some things my husband has said:
1. To the cat: Well Zelda, I hope you don’t mind having a little fur-less sibling around here. I’m sure you will find the crib very cozy!
2. Standing in the walk-in closet that we would turn into a nursery: “This is perfect! They’ll be right in here with us and they won’t be bothered by sunlight flooding in the room. I wouldn’t mind sleeping in here myself!”
3. Riding in the car, making a silly song with me: “I can’t wait to hear a little voice in the back seat joining in!”
4. Walking through the baby isle at walmart: “This is so doable. I don’t see anything outrageously priced. We got this.”
5. About 30 mins Post BD on my positive OPK day, he touches my abdomen softly and goes: “Shhh…did you hear that? It just happened.”
6. Making plans for his birthday: “Can we just have a kid already? I want to go to the arcade without feeling like a Pedo.”
7. Out of the blue, getting ready to go grocery shopping: “Just think, there will be a little person who calls you Mommy soon enough.”
Share your adorable stories please!

Haha, that is so cute. my husband doesnt say much, but we have been trying since last June :/. He did tell Mr the other night that he prays we will be able to get pregnant soon. he also gives me the sweetest look when he sees me holding our friend’s baby.
I look forward to reading these posts!

The cutest thing was this cycle; one day after we BD during my fertile window (the day of my positive OPK) he hugged me really hard and said let’s try not to lose this one (we’ve had 3 chemical pregnancies back to back). It was bittersweet, since he was acknowledging our losses, but also really positive since he was sure we were going to conceive this month 🙂 FX it happens!

@Turtle Bride: Aww. That is bitter sweet. Baby dust your way!

@runningcali: That “sweet look” people give me when I’m holding another baby makes me feel so AWKWARD! But if it was coming from my Darling Husband it would be different. 🙂 Hoping you get a BFP soon!

@Mrs.Metalm: I want to hear more of these too! We are a couple of moths away from TTC, and the only thing my Darling Husband has really said so far (he was talking about reasons he married me) is that “You’re going to be a good mom”.

We are prepping for a FET on Monday. I had my first PIO shot last night (if you know nothing about them, consider yourself very, very lucky). As he was doing the shot, I asked if there still one more fudgesicle in the freezer. In a very believeable voice, he told me he’d done lots of research and learned that there were harmful interactions with fudgesicles and progesterone, so he thought it best if he ate it to save me the issues. 🙂 It was really cute and I couldn’t be upset. It’s been a long road and there have been other things (many dealing with making our dog a big brother), but it was just so cute how he said the fudgesicle thing last night, especially since he’s not the researching type, but I research everything to death so part of it was a little laugh at that.

My Darling Husband bought me a maternity shirt for Christmas because we were TTC. He said he got it for me because he wanted me to know he was completely on board, and he wanted the first piece of maternity clothes I had to come from him.
Last night after DTD he told me that he couldn’t wait to have a family with me.
We tell each other regularly how great of parents we think the other one will be. He is my biggest supporter and best friend, and I feel so lucky to be the one who shares a family with him!

Not TTC quite yet, but close! My Darling Husband told me yesterday that he has thought about the first time he holds our baby he knows he is going to cry. He said he got teary eyed just thinking about it 🙂

I’ll share a screen shot of the text he sent me after I told him I got my period for the first time after my MC…

@mg1363: omg! That is PRECIOUS!
@graygodess20: Exellent use of the rage face meme!
@mrspitcher8: That’s so sweet 🙂 I asked my husband if I could get a maternity shirt embroidered for work and he was afraid I was being way to optimistic and didn’t want me to be stuck with a huge shirt as a reminder.
@HopefulForLittleOne: This sounds like something my husband would say! Haha. Yea, I couldn’t be mad either.

I have another to add: My husband thinks I get a little obsessed with research and information when I want to try something new (ahem…raising a child!) So I was on youtube the other night watching reviews from real moms about products that got them through the first 2 weeks after bringing a baby home.
I had my laptop turned away from him and the volume on low, but he still figured out what I was watching. Instead of telling me to stop obsessively researching, he actually asked me to turn up the volume and watched it with me. He even critiqued the different products and said things like “We’re getting that!” or “Oh my god, that makes a lot of sense!”. One of the products was witch hazel and heavy feminine pads……
He turned to me and said “Oh lady, I’m so sorry.” and gave me a kiss for the impending pain after labor. lol
We’re not even pregnant yet, but he is so supportive!
