We have a 4 year old female rescue dog. We’ve had her for 3 months. She has access to a back area she knows she can potty in via a doggie door. This past week, however, she started peeing on her bed (happened 3 times in the last week).
I’m going to contact the vet to see how to get her screened for a UTI – but I’m wondering if anyone has had something like this happen before.
I also think she’s been drinking a lot more than usual – and, she seems to wait until we are home (or standing by her) to drink. But, she’ll drink down her entire water bowl in one sitting.

@oracle: Sounds like a medical issue if it just started. Maybe a UTI or an issue with incontinence.
The excess drinking is worrying so getting her checked out should be priority 1.

Yep, I agree that you should be off to the vet! The excess drinking would worry me.

@KatNYC2011: That what I think too – I only really started noticing it this past week or so. DH wants to have her stop drinking water late at night, but I don’t think that’s the solution!!

my first thought was UTI or bladder infection

Could possibly be an infection or diabetes. Best of luck.
