Calling an adult woman a “flower girl” is really strange, IMO

I love this idea! We’re having a small wedding, but are not close to any children the right ages.

So, we’ll have the Honor Attendant (a woman on the groom’s side) carry the rings. We’ve asked my grandmother if she would like to serve as “Flower Lady” or some other cute name we come up with.

Rahter than have her sprinkle petals, we’ll have her deposit a stem in a small vase at the end of each aisle (we’re having an outside wedding). When she gets to the front, she’ll have one flower left. She will then put that into MY boquet when I get up there.

I thought it was a cute and unique way to include someone who is so important to me in the wedding. And, it complements our unique wedding nicely, I think.

I can’t think of any guy I know that would be ok with being a ring bearer. Other guys would give them so much ****. I’m sorry I want to like the idea but 🙁

I don’t think it would be either cheesy or creative.  It would just be what worked best for you guys. lol I think you should do it, sounds like it fits perfectly with your small group and your friends!  🙂  If your friends aren’t bothered by being reffered to as a flower girl and ring bearer I see no reason not to use those titles.  IMO they don’t have to be reserved for little kids.  I like the idea a lot.

Finally! Someone who thinks like I do! Fiance and I wanted to have all our siblings be involved in our wedding but our bridal parites were already lopsided. (Fi has his three brothers and his tow close friends, I have my three close friends and Fi’s Sister) My little sister (almost 10) agreeded super willing to be flower girl and my older brother agreed to be Officant.

My little brother (19 and not so little any more Cry) Agreed to be Ring Bearer as long as we agreed to address him as “Lord of the Rings.” I love it! If they are willing, I think its great! We were never very tradational anyways and I love getting to include all our siblings!!
