Honestly my favourite thing about being cfbc is knowing when I come home at night from commuting and working downtown all day, I only have to get dinner together and then the rest of the evening belongs to me alone; or spending quality time with Dh. He always reminds me if we had kids that we’d be working all night, right up until bedtime. Oh… and having lots of extra money for extended travel is nice too!

Peace and quiet.

An absence of plastic stuff around my house, from baby bottles to toys.

Never needing to baby or kid proof my house.

Never needing to make kid friendly food.  Never needing to have kiddie snacks in the house.

Never having to have cartoons or kiddie content on my tv/radio.

Never having to go to disney world or other theme/amusement parks.

Never needing a babysitter.

The ability to be more spontaneous and carefree.

Travel being easier and more accessible.

Being able to focus on and care for my aging parent without being burned at both ends so to speak.  The whole sandwich thing, I’m relieved that I am not, and will never be sandwiched.

Laundry!  I don’t know how people with kids handle laundry.  I feel like there is always so much laundry at my two person two dog household.

Never having to worry about my kid + social media.  That whole thing seems so fraught for parents.

Never having to see someone be unkind to my kid.  Never having to see my kid’s feelings hurt.

Being able to have dog breeds that do not mix real well with little ones.

As a parent, I can give you a free one. My son has a bad fever today so could not go to nursery so DH and I had to rearrange our whole days to be able to work out a care schedule and we both let down work commitments.

If we were CFBC we wouldnt have to do that.

NP – we all make our own reproductive choices and one is not more valid than the other. Besides after years of being CFnoBC I created my own list of reasons to be happy without children.
