Hello all! I have been a long time weddingbee lurker (since I’ve gotten engaged back in January) and this is my first post! My weddingbee addiction started when we were ring shopping and the girls here were so helpful with posting their experiences and pictures. So I’ve decided it’s time for me to give back and what better way to start than with shoes!
I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pair of wedding shoes for months now, originally I was just going to purchase a pair of flats since my fiance is only 2 inches taller than me, but after seeing all the sparkly heels, I knew I had to get both flats and heels. I’ll most likely wear the flats 90% of the time at the wedding, but I figured I could get some awesome pictures with the heels and my dress.
When I started shopping for shoes, I knew I wanted something fun but also something I could rewear in the future. Since gold was one of my wedding colors, I knew I wanted something sparkly that incorporated gold. Oh and did I mention sales make me extremely happy?
So during the last few months of looking for gold-ish flats and pumps that were on sale, I’ve purchased 5 pairs of wedding shoes, luckily, Zappos, 6pm, and MyHabit all have kind return policies.
So without ado… the shoes!
These are Cris by Kate Spade. I loved the dusty gold color, but they didn’t seem “special” enough for wedding shoes.
These lovelies are Kate Spade Calisa. I fell in love with the gold heel on these.
These beauties are Kate Spade Krysta. These are probably the front runners for my heels! They’re extremely comfortable and I love how the glitter is coated so there won’t be glitter stuck onto everything.
First pair of flats I found, Kate Spade Tock. I love the rose gold color of these. These are comfy and I know I’ll rewear them, but are they “special” enough?
Here is my most recent purchase, gold glitter flats. These are J Crew Nora. These are comfortable, they are super sparkly in person, but the glitter isn’t coated like the Kate Spade ones and they feel a little flimsy on. I can’t decide if I like these more or the Kate Spade flats more. Help!
Anyone else go on a wedding shoe buying binge? What gold beauties have you found?
