I am getting my mom a handkerchief that reads the “I’ll love you forever” poem. I want to give it to her. Should I give it to her privately before the ceremony?
Or should I give it to her, and my husband to his mother, at the ceremony? If so, how is this done?
Another problem, I have a step mother. So I don’t want to step on any toes but I want to acknowledge the woman I look up to and has always been there for me…MY MOTHER. Will this be ok at the ceremony? Or am I better off just giving it to my mother privately? Advice please!

If you just want the poem to be for your mom, then give it to her privately before the ceremony. If you want to acknowledge all of the mothers, what about having them carry a special “bouquet” called a tussy mussy? Instead of giving them a corsage, you give them a mini bouquet. I did this for my mom and Mother-In-Law and for my stepmom I had her wear a corsage..

I think giving it to her in private might make for a more meaningful, intimate moment.

I am all about special moments so I vote for private. Not that you can’t have a special moment in public, I just feel like private would be a nice time for you to have with your mother before the ceremony.
