<span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-family: ‘Lucida Grande’; font-size: 11px; white-space: pre-wrap”>
<span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-family: ‘Lucida Grande’; font-size: 11px; white-space: pre-wrap”>I’d love some advice on a couple things: Shoes! I really want blue shoes, and always have. My friend who was there with me when I bought the dress is worried that any bright colored shoes would detract too much from the dress as they’d most likely be seen (I have to get it hemmed so I’m not positive, but the dress is obviously not so big and poofy or anything to hide them). I bought these: https://zappos.com/images/749/7495758/3279-807639-d.jpg and LOVE THEM but am wondering if you guys think they’ll look okay/bad with the dress (I haven’t even been able tos ee them together yet because I don’t want my fiance to see my dress!) etc.
Also.. I’m getting married in a park in the summer. I guess I should be worried abotu sinking into the grass, but I’m not (haha). I can always wear different shoes for the ceremony itself?
<span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-family: ‘Lucida Grande’; font-size: 11px; white-space: pre-wrap”>And: Veil! Do you guys think a birdcage veil would look good with this dress?? I loove them btu I’m not sure.. I’m also worried about color–the dress is "champagne" so would a birdcage veil in white look bad with it?? Thank you in advance!

Your shoe link isn’t working for me. Pretty dress!

I think you are going to have to take a picture of yourself in the dress and shoes so that we can get a better idea of whether this ensemble will work. You can certainly wear different shoes for the ceremony and reception, but should make sure that they are the same size heel.

i think you might have to rethink the shoes. i love the dress though!

Gorgeous dress, but the link for the shoes isn’t working for me either.

I couldn’t get the shoe link to work either.
As for the veil- you can easily get a bird cage in ivory or champagne! Given the sleek style of your dress, I think a bird cage could work.

I think a birdcage veil would definitely work.
The shoes are definitely a very bold statement. And you’ll definitely see them a lot with the style of your dress. If you are set on the shoes, I would get a more subdued wedge for the ceremony (so you don’t sink into the grass) and then use those for the reception, once you’re ready to have a little fun.

The dress and the shoes are both gorgeous, but I don’t really like them together. I would go for a daintier shoe for that dress. A colored shoe would work, but perhaps a lighter shade of blue would be more summery, and one with a wedge or a lower/more substantial (non-stiletto) heel too so you don’t sink into the grass too much.
For those for whom the photos aren’t working, here are the pics of emrw’s selections:

Thanks for the advice everyone!! In the back of my head, I think I knew the dress and shoes didn’t really go together, I just love the shoes… so much! Since I ordered them from endless, I have a full 365 days to return them for a full refund/free shipping so I think for now I’ll hold onto them! <span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-weight: bold”>Anyone have any ideas of knee length dresses that might go with them?? Maybe I’ll try to find something to wear to a shower or rehearsal dinner.
And… if anyone has any suggestions on shoes that would go with my dress, please feel free to share!! I’m not so into pastel-y colors and I usually don’t like wedges, but sometimes that all falls by the wayside when the right shoe comes along!

Ok first, i died when I saw your dress — SO GORGE! What a bargain. I’m a colored shoed bride myself so I’m usually always for it, but I’m not loving the shoes + dress. In the end I think it would be OK, but they wouldn’t be my pick. Maybe something a little more simple and blue? Like a plain blue satin or OH! Like Miss Martini’s she just got back? Maybe not SW but something dyeable and simple and PURTY!
And a birdcage veil – OBVS! They are always appropriate. I’m wearing one in my cube right now (JK but I wish I was and totally could cause they’re awesome)
