Here’s a very technical discussion of step cut diamond qualities if you feel like going into gung-ho reasearch mode: http://www.pricescope.com/journal/performance-and-p3-facets-discussion-about-step-cut-diamonds

In general, there are are also just a ton of diamond enthustiasts over on the Pricescope forums who I’m sure would be happy to help you out!

My stone is SI1, but it’s a 1/2 carat, and at that size inclusions can be much less visible. Mine’s completely eye clean unless it is RIGHT UP to my eye. If you can’t see your stone or ring IRL first to confirm that you like the look of it, jamesallen.com is a good choice because they shoot actual videos of the stones for you to inspect and compare. Good luck!

I think you would be ok with with VS1 or VS2…..at least with bluenile you can send it back if you don’t like it.

Mine is VS1 and eye clean. My husband spent a lot of time looking at length to width ratios and cut. I also wanted a colorless diamond, so mine is an F. Welcome to the emerald club!

I would go at least VS1 and he best possible cut. Color is more of a personal preference…Do you prefer warmer or whiter stones?

Wait are we talking “emerald cut” or about emerald gemstones? I’m confused.
