- Wedding: June 2010
hello ladies! i had quite an experience doing my wedding invites this afternoon adn i thought i would share my findings.
so…my wedding invites just happen to be 5.5X8.5. i dont know if this is a weird size or what but it did not exist in microsoft word 2007! so..i had to customize my own…no problem right…YEAH RIGHT! my Fiance is a computer engineer and i am a application analyst (computers) and it took us a while to figure it out. pathetic? maybe….
its a two step process:
1. go to print properties. in the features tab, under resizing options-size…select custom. Then put in your parameters. then change the name of it, hit save and then ok. then…you MUST get out of print properties all together and get back in and set your resizing option to your custom name. then get out of print all together
2. in your document go to page layout and click the size button
select the custom size you just created (it should be at the bottom)
I could not find any literature about this online! crazy…but then again i was in a time crunch and frustrated and it is always hard to find stuff in that state. or maybe i made it too difficult…but i tried a million things before figuring this out 😀
Just thought I would share. If anyone has any questions or problems while printing invites please feel free to PM me 😀
Good luck and i hope your experience is smoother than mine 😀
Love my outcome though! i will take pics later and post them!
