Honestly, that doesnt look THAT bad.  Looking at that room…

  1.  break down the boxes and get rid of them, trash the bags and paper around them as you clear the boxes.
  2. get rid of that bag of recycle and find a new place for it in the future.
  3. put the shoes where shoes belong.  if they dont currently have a place, make one for shoes.
  4. vaccuum.
  5. pick up clothes and put them in the right spot
  6. straighten up the carpet
  7. clear the clutter on the table

That’d go a long way to lookign cleaner.  Shouldn’t take long.

Right now my house is a mess because there’s dry laundry, things to iron, 3 luggages worth of stuff everywhere because we have just come from a trip. I’m an incredibly messy person but I do a roaming at every room like crazy and cleaning like mad woman regimen when I can’t take it anymore. Otherwise things never get done. For me it’s either everything now or nothing. 😀

Jacqui90 :  Actually after this thread, I’ve gone through my apartment and cleaned everything, did the ironing at 2 am in the morning lol, and there’s only a little pile of gifts and books are left to tidy up.

Jacqui90 :  I use to only clean when I could do it completely and properly in one go. I didn’t see the point unless I could do it perfectly. Now I know that’s silly – when it comes to cleaning something really is better than nothing. Lately I’ve been having anywhere from 8-15 extra minutes in the morning after my family is gone for the day before I have to run for my train. I set a timer and blast through a room or task as much as I can. This morning I managed to get my bathroom in solid shape except for scrubbing the tub! So yes the tub still needs attention, but the laundry pile in the corner is now in the appropriate hampers, the toothpaste splatters are washed off the mirror/sink, and the trash isn’t overflowing anymore. Counting it as a win!
