Does anybody have experience/knowledge on planning a trip to Greece/Italy in early November? We are debating on whether or not to go there for our honeymoon (either on a cruise or organizing it ourself on land), but are worried that the weather will not be great. Thanks for the advice!

The chance of rain is higher and chilly in the evenings. I was in Santorini in May and it was cold from 5pm onwards and some days cloudy.

The weather here in Greece isn’t really predictable in November. Usually we get quite a bit of rain, although I am more North (Sporades Islands). Italy is really the same. I would suggest for the time you’re thinking of coming to look at the more southern points. Rhodes, Crete, Sicilian region etc… Other Med options that may be more suitable weather-wise in November would be Cyprus or the Canary Islands in Spain (both popular winter destination from the UK) In Cyprus, you look at weather between 22-24 celsius in the day and 14-15 celsius at night. Canary Islands 18-24 celsius and around 17 celsius at night.

I went on a cruise of Spain in late October which started in Rome. Rome was fairly cool when we left, but we were lucky with the weather in Spain.

I am planning to spend the first weekend in November on the Med. in Barcelona. The way I look at it is it won’t me summer but it will be warmer than at home.
