So I went dress shopping for the first time yesterday and found out that if I want any change from £400 I’m going to have to get creative in finding my dream dress, theoretically I could spend more from our budget but we’re really trying to keep as much cash for furnishing our new flat when we move in, and I’m very aware my dress is just for one (albeit very very special) day, whereas a sofa or a fridge will last us a lot longer!!
I decided I’d go meet a family friend who’s a dressmaker to talk over my options with her, and was wondering if there are any bees around who have gone this route and could offer me any advice? Problem is I’m pretty curvy and love my waist in gowns with quite a lot of boning- will that be too hard for a dressmaker to include?
This is my current favourite dress, it’s £550 but it’s SO pretty!!
Do you reckon that’d be makeable?
Sorry for all the questions- I only got engaged on the 19th and am getting married in August so am having to find my feet pretty fast!
