Hi bees, my dream dress right now is the dress on the right side- but no store has this dress available. Should I decide on getting the first dress? One store could borrow the dress for $100 but then I would have to pay that amount of money no matter what. Do you think my dreamdress would look good on me? Let me know what you think! Thanks as always

What designer/style is your dream dress? Can you find it online or preowned?
I like your current dress – just responded to your other thread – but I definitely think your dream dress would look good on you. It’s fairly similar to the other dress you posted with the ruching. I prefer the dream dress though, it’s more flowy and less busy than the other one.

I thought I saw the dress on the right in another post however someone said it’s the spring collection by that designer Which means you cannot get the dress in time?

@peonyinparis: yes, what I like about the dreamdress is that the fabric seems to be softer and nicer and it’s more flowy and not all in all looks less fluffy just more romantic no…

@nativedesires: yes unclear- so the issue is I could try it on for $100 (a bridal store could borrow it). But if I do not like it I would still end up paying the $100…is it worth it? That’s why I need your opinion….do you guys think I could rock it and it would be THE dress?

@christinaval: Maybe I’m being too frivolous but I think $100 is worth paying to try on what could be your dream dress. Even just for peace of mind, I think I would consider it worthwhile. I don’t know about you, but I’m the kind of person who would forever be wondering ‘What if?”

My suggestion is to find a dress that has a similar sillouette adn try that on if it looks fantastic so will your dream dress. If you pay to try it on and then you love it will the 100 go towards the purchase of the dress? Otherwise can you not just go to that salon that has it and try it on? I was on a budget so I hunted for the best price I definitely wouldn’t pay to try on a dress

@christinaval: you never know till you see it on yourself.
i tracked down a mori lee dress i was obssesed with lol and when i found this dress an hour away and put it on i hated it on me ; ( but i had to try it on i was not going to be happy and i would always wonder. i dont like that there charging you $100.00 to try a dress on thats some BS but if you feel that strongly about the dress and you have the cash to take the chance do it at least you will know

You can’t really guess how dresses will look on you based on stock photos. Stock photos always look so different you can’t tell they’re the same dresses half the time.
I personally prefer the dress on the left right now, but I think you should pay the $100 to stop yourself always wondering “what if”. That’s the sort of thing that might plague you and give you dress regret

pay 100, or else you’re just settling.

If its part of the Spring collection, it will already be in stores. Fall Collections are ordered by the stores in March/April, and are in stores by July.
I’m confused- I work in this industry and even I havent seen the Fall 2013 lines in person yet.

@christinaval: I don’t believe in settling on anything remotely in life. I never have and a I never will. go for the dream dress. Life is too short to settle for anything less than amazing.
