Unfortunately, you can’t “spot reduce” (aka, focus on one part of your body and make it lose fat/weight specifically). I’d just focus on getting 30+ minutes of cardio 3-5 times a week as well as strength training. Strength training and ab/core work will help you tighten up and build muscle, and the cardio will help you burn fat ๐Ÿ™‚

sometimes you just need to change things up. are you doing strength training? I know a good mix of strength training with cardio can really work wonders, like the body pump classes at the gym, or just doing weights and cardio on alternating days. Good luck!

Try cutting down your carbs to 100g a day. That usually causes less bloat and gives the stomach a leaner appearance.

Are you sensitive to salt? Sometimes cutting that out can help.

I’ve always read that flat stomachs are made in the kitchen, not the gym. I would take a look at your eating habits and see what you can accomplish there.

i suggest trying pilates reformer classes in addition to doing cardio. pilates has really helped me tone my body.

I know for me, posture has alot to do with my belly sticking out.  I’ve been working on “tucking” my bum/pelvis because I stick it out alot, which makes it look like my belly stick out.  When I stand up straighter its much more flattering.  You have enough time to make this a habit… maybe give it a shot?

ps looooove the saree!! so beautiful

That saree is gorgeous btw.  Ok so I consider my diet to be really good and i am very slim but carry a little bit of weight on the stomach (dont we all!).   last year I went on a 1 month detox where I didn’t eat ANY sugar and I mean none.  That meant no fruit, no carbs (that turn to sugar apart for the occasional small amount of buckwheat) no alcohol, no root veg that also turn to sugar (ie carrots, parsnips etc) and obviously nothing with obvious sugar in in like processed food.

It was a very intense month where basically all i ate was meat and green leafy veg, lots of curry and I made buckwheat chapatis. I was AMAZED that after a week I had the FLATTEST stomach I have ever had. I mean, it was incredible. I was a little miserable at times it has to be said but it was worth it.  I am planning on doing this again for a few weeks before my wedding.  I really recommend this.  Sugar is the worst and always settles on the stomach.

Doing sit ups is pretty pointless if you have a little weight on the stomach as it just builds muscle underneith the flab.  It has to be CV I recon. Good luck

Eat the ABC’s- Apples, Berries, Cherries. My trainer told me these are the best fruits for belly fat.
