Hello HIve! I have been reading and visiting the site daily for over a year and this is my first post. I value everyones opinions as I love being part of the weddingbee community. So, here goes! I went for one of my last dress fittings last week and are just having the final tweaks done before our April wedding. It is a black tie evening wedding in Miami.
The question is… do I wear my dress with or without the black sash or as a combination (without for the ceremony and with as the evening progresses?)
Thanks in advance for everyone who comments and thank-you for the huge contribution this community has made to my year of planning. I’ll miss this place.

The sash really helps show off your figure, and adds en extra touch to your beautiful dress.

Love the sash! If it were me I’d want to be more traditional and not wear it at the ceremony… if you put it on afterwards you’d have it on for the majority of your day though!

Love the sash. It makes your waist so defined and small. Plus it gives your dress that extra pop and makes it look different and special.

I think the shash adds a fun detail to the dress and I agree with the others who said it really defines your shape.

LOOOVEE the sash! It adds just enough oomph to your dress. But either way both you AND the dress are BEAUTIFUL!

I have to agree with the other bees–your dress looks great with the colored sash–but it also looks gorgeous without it. I vote that you wear the dress sans sash for the ceremony to be more classic & traditional. And then afterwards at the reception, get totally fab & fun and rock the sash!

I like the sash, but I find the fact that its black a little ovewhelming. I think a softer color would look much better.
