It’s always a good idea to find pictures of styles you like. Personally, I think you would look good with it just a tad shorter, maybe just past your shoulders so it doesn’t flip out. What about long layers? That always adds some texture/dimension.

Adding in some layers and a few subtle highlights would look lovely but not be too drastic of a change where you would feel like a different person.

I say keep it long but healthy for the wedding but do long layers where the shortest layer hits below your chin. Any layer that hits at a certain point of your face is going to emphasize that. Long hair with long layers will give you the most options for hairstyles come your wedding wether you want an updo or down do.  

Like another bee said, I would add some subtle highlights to start so you don’t feel too different. If you want something more low maintenance, then I would do baylayage. Find a stylist with good reviews and pictures of their work that you like and go in with an idea of what you want and ask for their professional opinion.

If you have pin straight, flat hair, layers will make it look more thin and flat. You should go for a blunt bob. Just above the shoulders would be cute.
