So, my girlfriends are throwing me a bachelorette party in the city where I currently live…the problem is a lot of my good friends and BMs live on the east coast. To get here it would be at least an 8 hour drive for them. Also, a lot of them are already breaking the bank to fly out/drive out for our wedding in September. I would love to include everyone I just have no idea how to do it. My question is are there any bees that have helped pay for their friend’s airfare so that they could attend their party? I know it may sound crazy but I just can’t imagine having a party without some of my closest friends. Thanks for any advice you can give!

@MrsDeLovely: Have you thought of changing the location of your bachelorette? I flew back to where the majority of my friends live in order to have my bachelorette because I couldn’t possibly ask them all to travel. Maybe you can have it where they all live, or somewhere halfway so that everyone is travelling a bit but it’s a totally manageable driving distance?

I know lots of people who’ve done that. Have one where they live and have one at ‘home’.
I’ve told my girls that I want ‘formal’ bachelorette a couple days before the wedding once everyone’s in town for the wedding. We’ll have a spa day (where I treat my BM’s to a mani-pedi) and then we’ll go for dinner and drinks. (i’m also 30 and have no desire to run around Toronto wearing a bride sash or anything penis related).

@NLbride: Yes, I have thought about it I just can’t seem to find a central location between Cincinnati and Washington, D.C. that would be fun for a bachelorette party. All of my college and work friends are living in Cincy and my HS and childhood friends are all spread out in D.C., VA, Boston and NYC! I am just so lost on what to do!
