(edit to add sorry for the ginormous photos)
I’m a ‘curvy’ girl and I really want to embrace my curves, so I picked a body hugging dress. I love it. Here is my dress below, and a sash I picked up at the salon. It was too wide so what you’re seeing is it folded in half (about one inch). It’s a shoddy sash, and it doesn’t go all the way around, or I would have gotten that one. But man, did it help my figure !
I dont have the time or the money to sash-shop, so I’m hitting the trim store for some trim. Which one would be the best one to achieve the look I need? They are all about an inch-ish

I like the first one ! Its just a little more special and the design kind of reminds me of your dress’ neckline 🙂

I like #4, and I think the sash is too high on your body in he aboce pic. Seems like if it was moved down to your natural waist it would make you look slimmer.

I picked #1, but I really like # 4, too! When you say “trim” store, what do you mean, exactly? I’m in need of something similar! 🙂

Hey Ladies – thanks for the input so far.
@MrsRomo, I tried it lower and it didn’t do me any favors.
@MalbecMe – stores that sell appliques and trimming. These are from http://www.shinetrim.com

Okay, first of all- you look GORGEOUS in that dress!!! I mean, all alone with no trim it looks amazing, and then when I saw the trim pic, well, geez!!! So, yeah, good choice!! 😉 And I think the trim location is perfect, so don’t move it!! 😉
Secondly, I voted for #1 but #2 is my second choice, if it is indeed the same width, otherwise I think it’s too skinny…

I would go for a wider sash. Really delicate ones like the one in your picture tend to exagerate your proportions. I think a wider one would work better.
