Hi Bees! 🙂
So I’m having Jasmine’s Bridal make my dress. My measurements are:
Based on this size chart (http://www.jasminesbridalshop.com/resource/site_notices/Size_Chart.jpg), what size should I order?? It looks like I’m between a 4 and a 6? My waist seems to throw it all off!
Thank you! Pic of my dress below.

They say if you are between sizes, to go with the larger. That way you can get it taken in, but it’s harder to let it out, if that makes sense.
That being said, it says 26.5 for the waist on the size 4. Wouldn’t that work since it’s only 1/2 an inch off?

Very true on both points…I guess the half inch just freaks me out a little haha. These sizes are so weird and different!

@catalinaislandbabe: I don’t blame you! It seems like 1/2 an inch wouldn’t be a big deal, especially since you have a corset back, but I’m definitely not an expert.

I talked to my seamstress and she told me to always buy according to your bust size or the bigger size because it’s easier to take a dress in than let it out. I made the mistake in not doing that, so now she has make my zip up dress a lace up 🙁

Good points all aorund. By “taking the biggest measurement” do you mean use my hip measurement as the determining factor? If so, I would fit into a 4. But, that 26.5 waist scares me to death because I’m imagining not even being able to get into my dress haha

Your dress has a corset back. Are you keeping that detail? If so, then I would go with a size 4. With my measurements, I believe my waist and hips were a size 10 and my bust was a size 12 (although I’m definitely a street size 12!). My dress had a corset back, so I went with a size 10 and it was perfect! … So if you are keeping the corset back, then that will allow some extra room in the waist for you
