Hi bees! A few things… I’m super excited because I just found out that my little sister will be coming into town (Texas) from Alaska, just to go dress shopping with me!!!! How awesome is that? I can’t wait!! A second exciting thing is that I put down a deposit on a caterer. We went with BBQ, including sausage and brisket with BBQ sauce & 3 sides. I think we decided on mac & cheese, veggies, twice baked mashed potatoes (bacon on the side). We also got the contract back from our photographer. It’s on March 22nd. Here is her website on the types of photos she does:
I know it’s still a little while away, but I need help in starting to shop. I’m 5’8 (same height as Fiance, so heels are out) and about a size 16 (but just started weight watchers and working out). I want fabulous E-pics, but don’t know what to look for!! Help!

I’d suggest sticking with colors and styles that you know flatter your skin tone and hair and make you feel comfortable. Go look at your closet, do you wear mostly one color family? Pull out a couple outfits that make you feel fabulous for a night out on the town with Fiance, a nice ‘dressed up’ outift, and then go from there. You can always find similar styles cuts and buy new to spoil yourself 😉 You want to be comfy and feel like yourself for your epics.
Day of suggestions:
-Hang all your outfits on separate grab and go hangers with a little bag around each containing the accessories for that outfit. Pants/skirt over the bar, shirt over the top, socks tucked into the pocket, etc. This way you’re not wasting your time with your photog digging around for the matching piece.
-Wear no-line underwear that’s modest and a cami so if you need to do a quick change in the back of the car, it’s not a show. LOL.
-Layer outfits so that you can get multiple looks from a simple base outfit (ex- jeans and a cute top…with a jacket, with a colorful scarf, with cute cowboy boots/rainboots, heels, flats, etc). Simple and easy changes that will create different visual effects and let you have more photo choices.
-Same for hair, think of styles that you can progress. (hair down, different part/style, into a pony or braid at the end, etc) Quick, easy changes that will give you a lot of variety.

OMG, I totally didn’t think about the panties!! Sadly I rarely go out. When I do it’s usually in jeans, flats and a casual top… or scrubs to work. I definitely need fashion help in my everyday life as it is! My hair is SUPER straight, although I recently discovered a method for the curl to actually stay, so my choices are curly or straight, but a braid sounds cute! Hmmm. Good things to think about. Thanks!!
