One of my best friends is getting married and I am the Maid/Matron of Honor which is Fabulous! she is getting her bridal portraits taken in late May and has asked me to be there, which is fine because I live in another city (10hrs away) and have had to do much of my duties from far away. I was wanting to know if it was ok for me to have a trial hair run thru with the person that is doing our hair for the wedding when I am in town…. I did this with my sister when she had her bridal portraits taken and it worked out perfectly! though there were two people doing hair not one! If you live in Texas and know the Houston area you know it’s humid and Hot … and her wedding is in the heat of the summer. I have really thick hair and I am wanting to have it put up …. I have never gone to this lady before and it is concerning me that I am going to look frumpy or that my hair is going to end up falling down… I don’t in ANY way want to over shadow her or step in her light… Just not all hair stylist are created equal … Please tell me what ya’ll think!

Ask your friend if she’s okay with this, and I think provided the stylist isn’t rushed working on either of you, it should be fine!

I think its a great idea. My Maid/Matron of Honor has incredibly THICK and LONG hair. She decided on an updo for the wedding which was in Florida (humid and hot) and I was suprised how long it took the crew to do her hair. It almost made us all late to the wedding and she was the first one to get her hair done, YIKES!
I would say if everyone is ok with it, do the trail you might be suprised at how it could affect your schedule on the day of the wedding.

That’s what I was thinking! I was late to my sisters wedding well almost they were only taking pictures but still..I missed her getting dressed and everything bc of hair and makeup! I guess I am worried bc the bride thinks there will be more then enough time getting ready at noon when the wedding is at 4…. and there is only one person for makeup and hair … There are 5 people getting these services done… We started for mine at 8am there was a team of 6 people and about 12 of us getting ready for a 6 pm wedding I wanted to make sure that everyone was ready and assembled … then before we all walked down the isle we had touch ups… I guess I am just worrying!
