I’m sure it is possible to just register for gift cards, but that is almost the equivalent of asking for money and in my opinion that is in poor taste. Go to Home Depot with your FH and see if there are any items in particular you know you will need. Maybe if something is very pricey a couple of your guests will go in and make the purchase together.

I’d suggest registering somewhere else also. But don’t fret you are sure to get lots of cash and gift cards anyway.

I’m sure you can register for gift cards only, but many people think that is tacky and won’t get you a gift card.  Instead, they’ll select something at random from a store they like and give you that.

Do yourself a favor – register for specific items at multiple stores.  If people want to give you gift cards, they will.

I’d register for specific items, not just gift cards. Surely there are at least a few things you know for sure that you want!

I don’t really think there is a point to a registry if you are just registering for gift cards.  You can get the word out to your parents that you would like gift cards though.
