Hi fellow bees!
Being away from our wedding 4 1/2 months now, we are slowly thinking of our seating plan/table plan. First I thought it would be enough to put down the cards with the guest’ names (at the same time our favours for the guests) directly on the tables (it’s the way most Germans do it). But know I’m second guessing… We’ll have ca. 8-9 tables. Do you think it would be better to have a seating plan overview for our guests with table numbers for orientation? I’m really torn what to do… Thanks in advance for your suggesstions!

@Bernie1407: I would have a seating chart at the door. It is SO much easier! I have been to weddings where there is no seating chart (and there were 12 tables… thank god I was near the back instead of circling tables like a fool 12 times) and many where there are (go directly to table 5!). Honestly, love knowing where I am going. If you don’t want a framed list or anything for a seating chart, the last wedding I went to you picked up a business card size card with your name and table number and a hershey’s kiss on it, as well as an engagement photo of the couple while proceeding through the recieving line.

thanks! that’s exactly what I was thinkink these days. As a guest I really wouldn’t like searching for my seat at 9 tables. Don’t know yet how we are doing the seating chart, but I think I have to convince my fiance;-)
