- Wedding: March 2015
My Fiance has settled on Sunday 1 March for our wedding and although we haven’t signed any contracts yet, I have pencilled in the Venue, met with the Minister, confirmed that the caterer we are interested in will be avaliable, and gotten photos quotes. We plan to have all of these confirmed before my Fiance leaves. I have my wedding band (but my Fiance needs to choose his). We have a slight issue with the Church (the one I want to be married in might be sold by our wedding date – so sad as that was where all my grandmother’s family had been married) but there are others in the group which the Minister has suggested to us.
To further complicate matters, my Fiance leaves for the other side of the world for 6 months in about a month’s time – so I’m trying to get all the big things completed quickly!
The other things I wondered – how far ahead should my Fiance book his suit? When he returns from overseas we will have about 6 weeks to organise things so do you think I should take him to look at styles now?
And for my dress – I really don’t want to spend more than $500 so I don’t want to be stuck buying one in a boutique. How much time should I allow for this – when should I start shopping? I was also considering having a dress made by a local dressmaker or buying secondhand and having it altered once I know which styles suit best.
Any tips / advice? Sorry for being so vague but at the moment I’ve got sooo much going on right now and I’m really after some help prioritising all of this!
Thanks in advance 😀
