I wear mine every day.  E-ring was just under $10,000.  Wedding band was around $1,500 if I remember correctly.  Spacer ring was $700.

I worked my way up to everyday though.  I didn’t like to at first.  That said, insurance should make you feel more comfortable wearing it as you like.  You have a pretty ring, show it off!

Yes, I wear my ring all of the time. Unless you live in an extremely dangerous region where muggings are frequent, robbery is not an issue to worry about. Millions of women wear expensive engagement rings with no issues. Just make sure it is sized properly.

I wear mine all the time (with the exception of cleaning, showering, etc). It was around $3k, so not massively pricey but not itty bitty either. This is what it looks like:

Getting insurance on it might ease your mind about wearing it, so I’d look into that if you haven’t already.

Mine was around $5,000. I never wear it to bed, while showering or really around the house. I always put it in my ring box. I never just take it off and lay it around the house. I heard that if you wear it to bed, it can wear down the prongs. I also only travel with my wedding ring and keep the ering home if I’m going out of the country. Do whatever is comfortable for you. 🙂

I have a lovely sapphire, which I wear daily unless I’m doing something really hands-on (i.e. doing dishes, showering, taking out the garbage). I’m never too concerned about robberies, but then again I live in a safe area of a relatively safe city.

It was funny because my Fiance proposed while we were on a trip up to a cabin beside a lake, and we went canoeing the next day. So I left it at the front desk in a safety deposit box.

My rule of thumb with my ring is that I tend to always be “aware” of it so the setting doesn’t snag on anything, or it’s not going to knock against any hard surface.

Congrats on your engagement! I also recently got engaged!

I only take mine off and put it in the box when I’m showering. Other than that, I wear it everyday, everywhere. I don’t know how much it cost but I would put it was in the $4,000 to $6,000 range.

My ring was $3200 and the band was $1500. I wouldn’t worry about robberies; almost every woman in our society wears one and I’ve never heard of one being stolen off a woman’s hand in public, and as long as it fits properly it’s not like someone can just walk up to you and pull it off. I was terrified originally of wearing something expensive around all the time, but now it’s so normal and not a big deal.

You’ll get used to it. Enjoy your ring!

And to answer your 2nd question — I clean my ring myself by soaking it in some warm water and dawn in a small bowl. I normally stick it in there when I’m showering, and rinse it off afterwards. I’ve taken it to the jewelers to be cleaned once in the year I’ve had it.

I wear mine everyday, I take it off when I shower and when I use cleaning products and lotion. Otherwise it’s on my hand! Mine was around 1500. And congratulations!!

My ring was close to $5K and I wear it every day. I am sooooo paranoid about losing it or even being mugged too. haha. I haven’t insured it yet, but I really want to…I’ve been looking at Jeweler’s Mutual and they quoted me $62/year for complete coverage including if I lose the ring. They had cheaper options that included a deductable. I’ve had my ring for 6 months and already had it cleaned once 🙂 I think most people have it cleaned professionally yearly though.
