I am 4’9 and my my fiance is 6’5. I am having a hard time picking out wedding shoes. My dress is in color ivory? Did you wear heels and if you did how many inches? Did you purchase online or in store? Would like to see pictures of wedding shoes?

Bored6: I’m 5’4 and Darling Husband is 6’5, so not as big of a gap as you but still significant. I wore heels, but nothing extreme–just three inches–because I’ve got horrible feet and can barely stand in any heels for longer than an hour, and because we’re comfortable with our height difference. I also switched into kitten heels at the end of the night, hahah.
Of course, getting close up photos was a bit wonky because it’s next to impossible to get both our faces in the same shot.

It realy doesn’t matter what another bride wore. If you are not used to wearing sky high heels, you will be in dire pain on your wedding day. Everyone already knows you have a height difference, so you don’t need to pretend that you don’t.
Your photographer will be skilled at placing you so that they get great shots, no matter what the height difference.

I’m 5’1″ and my fiance is 6’1″, so its not as big as a height difference but still pretty big. I will be going bare foot to my wedding (on a beach) and so will my fiance. Like someone said above, everyone knows you have a height difference so you should wear what makes you feel comfortable! I never wear heels and im pretty clumsy so I know if I wore them just for my wedding I’d likely trip and fall over. So you should just wear what makes you feel comfortable! If you love wearing heels then go for it but definately dont feel pressured to wear high shoes just to make the height difference smaller 🙂

I’m 5’3″ and Darling Husband is 6’6″ and honestly, I wore flats on our wedding day. I had planned to wear about 3 1/2 inch heels, but I didn’t want to be in pain all day (or risk breaking my ankle on the ice, since we got married in the dead of winter). It was the best wedding decision I made. My feet thanked me at the end of the day!

Bored6: Well I’m 5’1″ and I wore 5 1/2 inch heels. If you are comfortable wearing heels then I say go this route.
