- Wedding: September 2012
We are getting married Sept 8th in our backyard under a tent, picnic style with only 20 of our closest family & friends. We will be 21-22 people total.
We have decided to grill up some steaks (eye of round) and lemon pepper chicken (thin sliced breasts) as well as a few shrimp skeweres (prob about 5 med-large shrimp per skewer). We decided to go with thin cuts so that they would cook faster and also that people wouldn’t have to commit to one choice and could have say, a steak and a chicken breast as well as a few shrimp if they wanted.
I’m calling all bees for advice!! How many of each to buy?? We are getting all the meats in bulk from Sam’s Club 2 days before so I have plenty of time to marinate the chicken.
Also on the menu we are having..
– pasta salad
– brocolli salad
– garden salad with a few choices of dressings
– a fruit platter
– rolls with butter
– chips and dip
– and of course, cranberry and bavarian cream cupcakes!! (enough for everyone to have 2)
We aren’t having any liquor, so the beverages will just be a few flavors of crystal light drink mix served in pitchers on the buffet table.
Any suggestions? Is this enough food? Too much food? How many steaks and chicken peices to buy?? Also, before anyone brings it up, we don’t have any vegetarians in the crowd, so that won’t be an issue.
