Most brides are looking to buy second hand/ used dresses at 50% off. So don’t mark it too high!

ohnotali:  I do a lot of online selling. Since it looks like yours is a little less basic than the standard a-line that goes cheap on DB, I think you could sell this easily for $350. Your best bet will be to get some good pictures of yourself wearing the dress and provide the dress measurements. Include the stock photo too for reference.

ohnotali:  I belonged to a couple local wedding groups where a lot of brides-to-be compared notes on venues and services, and people who already had their weddings were able to post dresses and decor for sale. Hopefully your area has groups like this. Like others have said, a lot of brides buying secondhand are looking for a deal, and it’s helpful if you haven’t had any alterations done yet. Definitely put that in the listing. Good luck!

I have bought and sold 4 dresses online. Tradesy is a really good website. If it isnt exactly as described they back you 100%. If it is what is described most transactions are flawless. They do take 9% but it is worth it to get the dress out there. I also bought my brand new dress on there for 1/3 of the price. I honestly couldnt  be happier with a website!

Yeah, agreed –  definitely try Tradesy.  Put as many photos and description as you can so the buyers know exactly what they are buying.  Also, depending on where you live, there are local consignment bridal stores that will buy your wedding gowns!

ohnotali:  I hate poshmark. The sellers are weird, they take a lot more then 9% and some of the stuff has been on there for so long you never know whats available/whats not etc. I would definately stick with a more wedding dress friendly site just IMO

If you sell it independently, be careful with checks.  One of my friends got scammed.

ohnotali:  I agree that Poshmark is a joke. Love the sellers that say “NO LOWBALLING” on their overpriced items. lol
