If you’re dead set on the pearls, then definitely sweetheart!

I like it as a sweetheart. Maybe just not as dramatic as the one pictured. I’m sure it can be done but just ask your seamstress and she should definitely be able to tell you.

I have done bridal alterations for 10 years.  That dress will not do what you want it to do, like the picture posted below it.  I think you can lower the neckline, or make it a softer sweetheart, but that dramatic V shape with the rounded bustline next to it- not happening.  Don’t forget, once it goes away… you can’t put it back on.

That dress is so beautiful on you.  I would recommend having her start with something small, like lowering the neckline, and go from there.  You can keep taking small parts away, until you’re happy with the result.  Good luck!  You look amazing in that dress.  It is spectacular.

The original looks lovely but I think a less severe sweetheart will look beautiful with the pearl necklace in your picture.

@tarajae06:  When I first read your post, I thought altering a one shoulder to sweetheart sounded weird..But your inspiration pic is GORGEOUS! Even if it won’t be as extreme, I think it would be worth it to have it altered. Especially if your seamstress feels confident in what she CAN do. i agree with the PP above..Maybe start slow with first lowering it. Dress looks great on you but I think it would look even better with a lower neckline.
