Well, we felt weird having TTC sex be not sweet/romantic at first.

But, toward the end (we took 19 months) releasing semen closest to the cervix seemed like one more step we might as well take, so we tended to finish from behind, and then I stayed like that leaned down for about 15 minutes in hopes that gravity would provide a little assistance.  Who knows if that actually had anything to do with anything though.

After BDing just lie down for a while and don’t be in a huge rush to get up and pee. Generally for everything else, just makes sure everything’s in the right hole, haha.

Haha. Well, I know from experience that girl on top works. 🙂

@SapphireSun:  +1!

also while girl on top worked for PP, it’s typically not considered the best for TTC since semen will inevitably leak out after ejaculation.

@MademoiselleL:  Ha, my Darling Husband has a special roll that he does to get me on my back before pulling out to keep it all in. It is actually kind of sweet he thought of it and does it.

@GreenDream:  I heard girl on the bottom works for the same reason.

I also have heard that it doesn’t matter if you lay on your back with your hips up (i.e. pillow under the butt) or not, but I’m not taking any chances and I’m doing it. If you are prone to UTIs, you may want to consider only doing this on your most fertile days.

Also, a female organism is very important as it contracts the cervix which pulls more semen in and cleans out the crevices of old semen. It doesn’t matter if you go first, the effects last about 3-30 minutes (depending on the source).

Since you are not temping/charting, you may want to track ovulation in some way so that you can get good timing. If you don’t, you could always try BDing every other day so as not to miss your fertile period.

Good luck!
