Chaedra:  I got a lovely pair of Dior shoes…. I plan to wear them only on our anniversaries or date night ๐Ÿ™‚  I have been pretty savvy with the wedding budget but I did splurge with the shoes ๐Ÿ™‚ I say go for it and get them if they work with your budget ๐Ÿ™‚

Chaedra:  You can’t wear your dress again, but you can rewear the shoes. Go for it, but remember that fabric shoes aren’t as durable as leather and scuffs / wear will show.

I’ll be wearing flats.

The first pair are for the ceremony because I bought them first ages ago and have been keeping them all this while until I got corns on my feet that won’t go away and so the first pair might hurt to dance in after a few hours.

At the reception I’ll wear the second pair.

These are mine. They are light gold and super sparkly IRL. I didn’t want typical ivory wedding shoes because I knew I wouldn’t wear them again. I also picked these because I need the ankle strap for extra support- I don’t wear heels much! If you will wear your shoes again it’s definitely not a waste of money! It all depends on your budget ๐Ÿ™‚

Chaedra:  If they’re within your budget, and you think you’ll be able to wear them, go for it! Im wearing flats. Being 6 foot 1, and not comfortable in heels I was always going for flats..

Chaedra:  I have a pair of Jimmy Choos and a pair of Ginas.

I love shoes and those are my two favourite brands. Going non-designer wasn’t even a consideration tbh.

OP, it really depends on how you can withstand being in heels for more than 6 hours in a day — because no beauty is ever worth 8 hours of discomfort. It also depends on your dress; your fiance could think it’s a waste of money due to the fact that not many would be able to see those Jimmy Choos underneath a long dress.

I *splurged* on my heels. I love Fluevogs; they were definitely a “want”; not a “need” as I could have easily worn shoes I already own. These are super comfortable 2″ heels. Since my dress is not full length, I’d get to admire them all day.

IF you can afford them without affect your needed expenses, then I say GO FOR IT! I’ve been saving all my extra $$$ for the past 4 months for a pair of loubo’s and I’ll be damned if my soles aren’t red on my wedding day!!!!

I bought Louboutins for my wedding.  Heck, I only plan on getting married once and I will wear them again.  I’ve already worn them to another event and I’m not getting married until July! I hesitated for months because I didn’t really want to spend that much but I listed after them and couldn’t find anything I liked better.

I was going to wear the ones in the first pic, but the seller never sent them to me. Hopefully,  ebay will refund my money. Now, I’m going to order the ones in the second pic.

I think a splurge for your wedding day is most certainly okay – and yes, you could wear those jimmy choos again! ๐Ÿ™‚ I say go for it!
