AAAAAAWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much. All is well with us. At the time of the aftershock I was sitting next to my fiance/husband(wedding hasn’t happened but we signed legal papers). I was on weddingbee and he was on twitter. AWw, we are so romantic Embarassed

Then when we felt this quake we had flashbacks from the last one and didn’t know what to do. Luckily we could tell that our building wouldn’t fall and that we could wait it out.

All of these aftershocks have been so scary but we are grateful no harm has come our way.

We are truly hoping for a peaceful ending for the nuclear situation. Its a shame what happening to us and our environment.

Thanks again for your thoughts. We continue to pray for those up in the Northern area that have been devastated. My school is currently working on a Easter program that will help raise money for those effected (They aren’t Christian but really think Easter is a cool holiday). My husband is working with his company to provide shoes and other articled of clothing since the survivors of the tsunami left their home with only what is on their back.

The problem for the people there right now is that its cold and they are displaced in uncomfortable situations. Their water has been contaminated by radiation and many have been warned to only drink bottled water, however some have been told the water “doesn’t surpass radiation limits”.

So it seems that the people in the most devestated area still need the basic necessicites.

Thankfully where I live all is as usual except for the food supply.I am concerned mostly about the long term health of the country because we have found vegetables, milk, and water to be contaminated with radioactive material. I am still learning about whats happening and tacking a crash course in science class. Its totally over my head! But we will do our best.

This board continues to give me positivity. I look forward to planning my rescheduled wedding and brighter days for my new home.

If anyone is interested in a video showing the radiation situation close to the evacuation zone. I saw this yesterday. Its not near me at all. I check the radiation in my area everyday and so far it tests closely to many places in America so it shouldn’t be bad for us yet.

Thanks for the update, I thought of you as well! Our photographer was doing a semester abroad, and after the first one, she was required to come home.  She was very sad about it, she truly loved everything about Japan!

Glad to hear you are safe and sound!

@Linz1231:

Why did she have to go home? What area did she live? Many people from abroad went back to their home country. A big part of me wanted to go home and still does but my husband and his family have their roots here. Our jobs are still functioning. We decided to stay, but if things get out of control we will then move.

Her university required her too….Hold on, I will find how she worded it.

Apparently the University of Missouri “revoked” her program.  She was in Nagoya from August-March.

Really!!! Its so hard to say where is safe and where is not safe from all of this. She lived much farther from the site than me. I am glad she is safe and with her family. I realize many place throughout the country have been evacuated.

I suppose I will continue monitoring the local military. So far they haven’t had a manditory evacuation yet, but I do know they are still considering it just in case.

For now all is becoming stable. Thanks for thinking about us! Are there any more members here in Japan?

Aww thanks! Prayer is definetly what we neeed here. I am hanging in there. I have had my breakdown moments but with my husband and close family we are doing our best to think positively. I am happy that I am safe and that we are all together. So many people weren’t so lucky.
