anyone have recommendations for affordable bridemaid dresses? I’m not a huge fan of anything i am seeing at David’s bridal. I am looking for Navy blue, preferably long with some kind of straps. Thanks!

My bridesmaids wore Mori Lee navy dresses. I found Mori Lee to be the most affordable option for long dresses other than David’s Bridal. I called around to different stores and the prices ranged from $140-170. My girls ended up paying $155. Alfred Angelo were also affordable but I didn’t like the styles as much.

Our Mori Lee dresses were around $130 which wasn’t bad compared to other dresses

We did David’s Bridal. Have you actually looked at the dresses in person? The dresses on the website are poorly portrayed ( I think ). I would go look at them in person and see if you like them! I let my girls choose a variety of styles, and they all agreed they looked SO much better on the person than on the website/on the rack. They paid anywhere from $79 – $139 for them.

Most department stores will have a formal section, if not a wedding section, that would be affordable, and I would bet they most definitely would have long navy dresses.

MORI LEE as everyone else is saying!
I work at a bridal boutique that carries like six different brands Mori Lee is my favorite and the least expensive. The dresses are stunning and except for a few of their all over lace bridesmaids dresses are under $200 (Mostly $140-$180). Their strapless gowns also come with removeable straps which is nice plus their navy is pretty.
Also inquire about group discounts at whatever boutique you go to. We do one at my shop if you have six or more girls and all your bridesmaids order with us. Many shops do something similar which help also most small shops only require a deposit of half to order unlike David’s Bridal (I agree with you not a big fan of the quality had to wear one for a friend’s wedding and to be honest they are the same price range as Mori Lee)

Take a look at Ann Taylor dresses (http://www.anntaylor.com/bridesmaid-dresses/cata000035). They almost always have 40% off sales, and with the sale dresses should be $90-$200 or so.
My bridesmaids wore the short jersey dresses – they were affordable, traveled well (no wrinkles), and fit beautifully! Also, since they were off the rack, they were very easy to order.

I’m looking at Alfred Angelo. They have dresses that range from $99 to $179 (as advertised on their website).

Have you checked out the Wedding Shoppe’s website. They are very fair priced and they have some cute dresses. I’ve only looked at them online but I hear they also have a store or stores in the States (I’m in Canada so it would be far for me) but they may be near by where you are.
