<div class=”postbody”>I’m looking for some affordable bridesmaids dresses and I’m really having trouble finding any! I will be covering the cost (all 7 of them) so I dont want to spend too much. I’m considering spending approximately £100 (give or take) per dress. Any recommendations on where I can start looking? Wedding boutiques seem to be out of the question as they’re too pricey… I already know about Debenhams, Asos, House of Fraser, Dorothy Perkins, etc. PS I live in London.</div>

when this question is asked all I can think of is cocktail/prom section of department stores. You can use coupons on top of sale prices. I plan to pay for my BMs dresses (when I get married) and unless David bridal has a sale, I’ll be browsing in the department stores and then altering the dresses. My mother is a seamstress so she’d help with that. U could always add a belt so the dress is a little different for your wedding. Goodluck!

This might sound outrageous, but hear me out… Amazon actually has a good selection of inexpensive bridesmaid dresses, with a lot of them around $40-60. The key is to make sure you’re buying one with lots of reviews and customer photos!
My bridesmaid dresses are from Lulus and were only $80 USD each. We got free shipping in the US, but I’m not sure what the shipping would be to the UK, but it’s worth checking.

[content moderated] I’ve bought my daughter a few dresses off the site. She’s 11 but 5’4″ so I have bought her one bridesmaid dress (she desperately wanted an “Elsa” dress, which isn’t generally made for her height, and thought this one fit the bill) and another was a Flower girl/junior bridesmaid dress I bought her for Easter. Both were very well made and the measurememts were spot on (neither was a custom size). I paid $55 Cdn for each, about $35 USD. If I was looking to buy a bunch of inexpensive bridesmaids dresses that’s probably what I would do.

Have a look at Lipsy. You might find Phase 8 and Coast too pricey, but there are sometimes bargains to be had as well.

Lulu’s is my favorite site for dresses. That’s where my bridesmaids got theirs!

i have to second this! Buzzfeed just published a list of some beautiful maxi dresses you can get on Amazon, but they’ve very recently done several of these series with different types of dresses (including more formal ones). Here’s today’s, to help you search for the other lists:

My bridesmaids each chose their own dresses, and they went to Amazon, BHDLN, David’s Bridal, and Nordstrom Rack. 🙂
