@danifiori: Just saw your post to me in another topic. Sorry for the delay but if you havent found a caterer, check out Simply Gourmet. That is who we are using.

Mike (the owner) is really flexible (and also a personal friend). They do killer hors d’ouvres and you could def do a cocktails & snacks only reception for $40 p/person and it would prob be a lot of food.

If you want to talk more about it, feel free to PM me!

@danifiori:

Hey, did you end up booking Locust Grove?  I am using Lola’s as my caterer.  We are also getting our own liquor and eddie was fine with that.  We are also hiring the bartender through him.  I talked to 4 or 5 caterers and they we definatly the cheapest and most flexible, not to mention highly recomended by everyone who I have talked to! We are just finalizing our menu now.  I would love to know who you are using as your other vendors? We are still shopping and interviewing.

@clairykoo:  Hey! What price range were you able to get with Lola’s? I am looking into booking Locust Grove for our wedding next fall, but am concerned that all of the costs will add up to fast (food, linens, plates, alcohol etc). Thanks!

I am currently looking at Locust Grove and I am looking for a reasonable price range on caterers.  Did you have any luck?

LaurieW :  I was wondering if you decided on Locust grove and if so who you picked for a caterer and what the price per person was. Thanks!

laurent4 :  Try Gourmet to Go in Millbrook, NY. I didn’t use them and still regret it…they were very nice, professional, and reasonable. I believe I was quoted somewhere around $80/person without alcohol or rentals, but that was four years ago.

Hi Locust Grove ladies, I’m getting married there next April (2018). I realize this thread is rather old but if you have any expert advice after working with them I’d love to hear it! We’ve got a caterer and are squaring away our photographer and hopefully the rentals soon, but still debating whether or not we need a day-of-coordinator or if we can make do without. Appreciate it!

Congratulations! I am actually getting married there in the fall of 2018. I went with Gourmet to go caterers and they come with a day of coordinator. Would you mind actually telling me who you are using for photography? I haven’t set one yet so I would be interested to know who you are using. Ken has been super helpful answering any questions I’ve had but as for day of I think the fact the caterer provides a coordinator is helpful because she already has plans to connect with our band and florist to determine delivery and setup.

laurent4 :  Congrats to you as well! I’m using The Ramsdens (http://wearetheramsdens.com/) who were recommended by my friend (who is also my florist). I’m not sure how they compare price-wise based on other local photographers but they were so nice when we spoke to them and their work is gorgeous so we couldn’t resist. Happy to share more details if you need!
