My fiancee and I are looking at venues in the north jersey/nyc area and we have a few in mind, but all of these places we need to use an outside caterer as they do not do kosher catering.
We really have no idea how much the catering is going to cost us but with the places charging between 60-80 per person (for the space, alcohol, linens, ect) we are really only have the budget to spend about $75 per person (max) on caterning. Is this unrealistic? Any caterers that you can recommend that you have used in the past that come in around this price? We are looking to have about 200 people

@udchick33: Crest Hollow Country Club has glatt kosher catering and it is pretty affordable but based on LI. Honestly, it is going to be pretty tough to host a glatt kosher event for under $100 a head, but I think you might be able to do it @ Crest Hollow. I had my bat mitzvah there and the grounds are really nice! I would give them a call.
Welcome to the Club: A Destination Like No Other.
ETA: Woodbury Jewish Center has a base package of $115 per person. They are glatt kosher as well but keep in mind you have to add tax + other fees to this price.

I had sent you a PM.
Crest Hollow will definitely be amongst your cheapest options. You should also consider synagogues in general which will be cheaper due to having in house kosher catering. I have several Recs on Long Island but may be too far for you.

pcloadletter: Hi… Was wondering if you had suggestions for a synogogue or temple for 100/pp on Long Island? Catering in house included?
