Ajohnson3797 :  If 10k is your ceremony & reception budget check out Merriman’s Kapalua. I was interested in having my wedding here. The grassy knolll was suggested to me for smaller wedding and I read reviews the food is fantastic. The wedding planner on site was super nice and helpful when I was exploring options.  I have a smaller party of only 12 so was finding it hard to justify the food minimums, ended up going elsewhere but this was my second choice!

I don’t know if you are completely sold on your date yet, but it might save you quite a bit of money if you planned for a different time. Thanksgiving to New Years (especially the last couple weeks of the year) are peak tourist season. Everything is packed and prices for hotels and most other rentals are usually about 20-30% higher. All Maui beaches are public, so you could have a ceremony on a beach really affordably but there is a bit of legal red tape in that you are not allowed to have more than 20 people, no structures, etc.

I would look into upcountry Maui options if you are open to something not directly on a beach. Upcountry is gorgeous and most locations you still have a nice beach view, just from a few miles up. 🙂  Anything near Lahina is going to be more expensive. I personally love Makawao. There are some really cool places in up-country that are surprisingly affordable. The vodka distillery is gorgeous (idk the price though) or something like the Ka Hale Olinda would be really cool too.
