muhiki:  What does “affordable” mean to you? I like iweddingband.com or e-weddingbands.com. But affordable can mean under $200, under 1k etc, so more detail into a real budget may help people out. Also try etsy

What’s your budget? Diamond bands cost more than a plain gold one.

I would recommend Blue Nile. They have sales all the time and their diamond bands are very nice. I ended up choosing a plain platinum band, and their prices were cheaper than white gold bands I had seen at local jewelers.

If you’re looking for truly budget rings, check out superjeweler.com, worldjewels.com, and pompeii3.com. Obv. the quality will be lower, but they’re worth checking out.

You could also try moissanite – at tiny sizes it looks a lot like diamond.  It would be helpful if you said what your budget it and if you showed examples of the rings you like.

Lord of Gem rings on eBay and Etsy have tons of beautiful, affordable options. And American Set on eBay sells plain bands at great prices.

Believe it or not I got my wedding band at Costco.  Super affordable at $800 it’s a .76 ct shared prong band.  Costco also guarentees only non conflict diamonds and they must be at least or better than vs and I color

don’t be afraid to go second hand and check out estate dealers on etsy, pawn shops, and do a search for estate engagment rings on ebay.  You will be suprised at what you can find for a fraction of the cost.  If you don’t like the setting you can always reset it.  We got both our bands from estate dealers, my hubbys 3/4 carat yellow and white gold band was only $499 and it is almost 8 grams of gold which is pretty darn heavy.. Had we tried to get it brand new it would have easily been a $1500 ring, and he gets compliments all the time.  I was on a quest for a trio yellow gold and red gld stackable set and found an estate set on ebay for $225,  you would typically see a set like this for minimum $750.

Depending on what size diamond you want, I have seen some really nice 1/2 carat solitaires on Etsy.

I got my peridot ring with white sapphires at Penney’s. It cost like $75 with the care plan. It is not traditional, but I love it! Some department stores have some pretty good sales right now.

My band was bought from mytriorings.com at around $250. 10K gold and three small conflict-free diamonds.
